QUAKERS IN NORTH AND WEST CUMBRIA

Carlisle Quaker Meeting
North Cumbria Area Quaker Meeting

We are trustees of a long tradition which has sought to bring our religious convictions into the world 'and so to excite our endeavours
to mend it'. We are trying to live in the virtue of that life and power that takes away the occasion of all wars.

There is a Quaker Meeting in Carlisle and visitors are always welcome. The Meeting House is situated at the bottom of Fisher Street, opposite Carlisle Castle and close to the centre of the City. There is limited parking at the Meeting House but there are several public car parks nearby.

Meeting for Worship takes place every Sunday morning to which all are welcome, not only members but anyone who wishes to enjoy the quiet of a Quaker meeting. Enquirers are also welcome; their questions will be answered but there will be no pressure to take the connection further.

Meetings for Worship: Sundays 10.30 to 11.30 am (followed by tea & coffee!)
There is presently no Children's Meeting.

We have a simple shared lunch after Meeting for Worship on the 3rd Sunday of the month.
There are also study/discussion groups which meet at various times, sometimes in people's homes.
Room hire is available - please contact Carol Barber (see below).
